This is an all female scout troop with girls ranging in age from 11 to 17 years old.
We do not run co-ed like some Troops. A separate all-boy troop meets at the Church on the same night.
We meet on Tuesday evenings at 7pm at St. Philips Episcopal Church, 100 Romeo Rd. Rochester, MI 48307
We have several female Scoutmasters with over 15 years of experience each! We welcome the support of both Moms and Dads.
Some of our members went to Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio and hiked some beautiful areas.
We stayed at the EMU Student center for an all night lock-in with exercise equipment and video games!
Our "iron chef" campout. Troop 456 builds skills in lashing, first aid, hiking and more on our outings. Some troop members have built leadership skills by attended and later staffing the National Youth Leadership Training program.
In 2023, we have 4 girls who attended National Jamboree in West Virginia. In 2021, there was a 50-mile canoe trip. In 2020, some of our girls went scuba diving at Florida Sea Base for a week!. In 2025, the troop is planning to go on the Great Lake Sailing Adventure.
Troop 456 helping out at "Wreaths Across America" at Great Lakes National Cemetery. We have cleaned up parks, served at Cancer Support lunches, and collected and sorted for Rochester Neighborhood House and Gleaners. We wrapped for Gift Wrap Friends of Foster Care. This year we are adopting a family for the holidays!
We have lots of camping opportunities throughout the year. We camp most months including adventures and relaxing outings.

Chloe Schultz Kellett is a member of the 1st Inaugural Class of Female Eagle Scouts Nationwide. She led the painting of some murals for the youth area of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
